Alpana Vij is a Singapore-based contemporary artist whose practice is grounded in attentive encounters with found organic materials through minimal intervention and embodied making. Working with elements such as fallen leaves, twigs, and natural fragments, often in dialogue with architectural materials such as concrete, she engages processes of repair, recontextualisation, and spatial arrangement to investigate perception, fragility, and the temporal life of materials.

Influenced by philosophical ideas of impermanence and interconnection, her work approaches attention itself as a form of inquiry, where slow acts of observation and making become modes of understanding. Through sculptural installations and intimate material works, she creates quiet interventions that invite close looking and contemplative engagement.

Alpana holds a BFA from the College of Art, New Delhi, and an MAFA from LASALLE College of the Arts, Singapore. Her work has been exhibited in solo and group exhibitions internationally and is held in private collections across Singapore, the United States, Canada, Europe, Australia, and India.
