In these works, I look towards the urban environment, particularly concrete, asphalt, and stone. These are materials we often associate with strength, permanence, and endurance, yet they too crack, erode, and change over time. The marks and traces left on their surfaces become quiet reminders of the passage of time.

My process follows a similar rhythm of accumulation and removal. I build the works through repeated layers of paint, wax, bitumen, and graphite, adding and stripping away, allowing each layer to alter the one beneath it. The surface gradually holds traces of these encounters, much like a natural surface shaped by time and weather.

The works remain deliberately imperfect, impermanent, incomplete.
